小說的故事情節(jié)圍繞青少年男孩杰克的冒險旅程展開，杰克發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個神秘的特殊能力兒童之家。這里有嘴里可以出黃蜂的小男孩、隱形人、心靈相通的雙胞胎、可以把植物無限變大的小女孩，大力士小女孩等等，故事還描述了他們所面對的各種黑暗力量。而珮小姐是孩子們的看護者，能夠利用特殊能力來操縱時間，并創(chuàng)造時間循環(huán)來保護她的孩子們。小說充滿了魔幻、危險、夢境、童話色彩，腦洞大開、情節(jié)曲折、引人入勝。

娃在同學(xué)處看到了這本書，昨天想起來要求我也給她買一本，于是下單，今天到手后花了兩小時讀完，一句話評價是，比哈利波特還好看????這在她來說算是挺高的評價了，算是懸疑類吧，插圖都是ps過的老照片，比較別致，這也是我同意買這本書的原因之一。

小朋友覺得這本書的開頭，利用了許多圖片，搞恐怖氣氛搞得很成功。一邊被嚇著，一邊往下看?？戳艘话?，覺得是一個普通的adventure故事，一點也不恐怖。好失望！失望到棄書不讀了。
好吧，那就這樣吧。我也沒想到。

我自己翻了翻，覺得圖片很拙劣（有點像上個世紀(jì)8/90年代，火車站里賣的那些神神怪怪的雜志），文字不功不過。
