How I service in the Sahara Desert

I am Evan. I have won a prize in the Pacman Game. My prize is a ticket to Egypt. Now I am on a plane to Egypt. I’m very excited because I can visit Hatshepsut  Tomb, see King Narmer’s Crown, touch the first Sphinx, and…… “Oops, what happened?”

“Where am I?” 
 

I think I have a plane crash, and I am in the Sahara Desert now.

Maybe you don’t know what the desert is. It is a very dry land where you can hardly find water, and it is hard like a rock because the sun makes the desert very hard. The world’s desert regions are full of dangers. There are a lot of reptiles like lizards, spiders and lions, and very big birds like cooper's hawks and golden eagles. 
 

When you are trapped in a desert, there are some tips you can use in survival. Firstly, if you are trapped in a desert, you will panic, but don’t panic, remain calm and think of a way to make some shelter. Secondly, if you have a vehicle, don’t go away from the vehicle. It might have food, and it can provide shades. Unluckily I don’t have any vehicles, but I have some pieces of the crashed plane. I can build a shelter out of them. I can also dig a long wide hole so that I can sleep in it.  

What is the most important thing in surviving a desert? The answer is WATER. There are all kinds of ways in how to find water. I will list three options. The first option is that you can find some plants like cactuses and flowers. If you have a knife, cut the cactuses in half, and inside there must be water. Don’t drink the water directly because there are germs inside. You can put the water into a water bottle, and then leave it under the sun. After a few hours, you can go and pick it up. Inside the water, the germs will be killed by the sun.  
 

The second option is getting water through a hole. First, you need a bucket, a lot of stones, and a cloth. Put the bucket inside the hole, and then put the cloth over the hole. Second, put some stones on top of the cloth to hold the cloth in order to get water. Third, put a stone in the middle of the cloth and wait for a few hours. Then there will be water in the bucket.

The third option is that you can find animals. Where they are going, you can go. They will mostly lead you to food and water. 

Since the plane crash, I have lived in the Sahara Desert for a week.  
 

“Look, there's a lizard! Let me get that lizard. I can eat the lizard. If I have leftovers, I can keep the lizard. And then if I am hungry again, I can eat the leftovers. ”

The next day, when I get to the hole from catching the lizard, I make a very delicious lizard stew. I finish eating the stew right before a lion comes around me. But it doesn’t pay attention to me. “Phew, that was close!”

Suddenly, a plane is coming!   
 

“Quick, let me build a fire!” When the plane is flying just about 100 meters away, I finally get a fire going. And the plane just sees my fire.

“Yeah~~~I finally get rescued!”
