牛津樹L1學(xué)習(xí)筆記之<The Pancake>

今天在論壇上看到花友介紹的牛津樹人物背景,才知道Biff和Chip是雙胞胎,之前一直分不清楚誰(shuí)大誰(shuí)小。

故事一 <The Pancake>

這個(gè)故事有一個(gè)文化背景,就是英國(guó)的Pancake Day,也叫懺愧節(jié)(Shrove Tuesday),是基督徒們思悔懺過的日子,日期在復(fù)活節(jié)周日往前數(shù)47天。這天,各地還會(huì)舉行別開生面的煎餅賽跑活動(dòng)(Pancake Race)。

封面學(xué)習(xí):1.What is dad doing? 2.What do we need to make a pancake? 3.Why did dad make a pancake? 帶著這三個(gè)問題,開始進(jìn)行故事。

內(nèi)容學(xué)習(xí):P3-7: 這幾頁(yè)回答了封面提問的第二個(gè)問題,To make a pancake,we need a frying pan,and we should put some ingredients in it:the flour,the eggs,the milk, the butter.看圖的時(shí)候,可以問孩子:1.Who is pouring the flour into the bowl and what are kipper and chip doing? 2.Who is pouring the milk and who is stirring them together?

P8-9 Dad is flipping the pancake over in the air,everyone is surprised.

P10-11 橫幅上寫著Pancake Race,原來(lái)爸爸做的pancake是用來(lái)比賽的,1.Is dad attending the pancake race? 2.who do you think will win the race?3.Do you think it is easy to run fast and toss the pancake at the same time?what might happen?4.Look,do you notice the lady who behind Mom, where is her pancake?The pancake is falling right on her head!

以上學(xué)習(xí)很像蘇格拉底的啟發(fā)式方法,每一頁(yè)都可以由家長(zhǎng)提出幾個(gè)問題讓孩子思考和觀察。以后讀繪本可以用上這種方法。

Pancake實(shí)踐:這個(gè)故事也可以當(dāng)成一道食譜來(lái)閱讀。我和小C讀完這個(gè)故事后,一起制作了pancake,原料跟書上的一樣,想借此機(jī)會(huì)讓她在實(shí)踐中認(rèn)識(shí)面粉、黃油等物品,才能在英語(yǔ)表達(dá)時(shí)腦海里有確切的物象存在。過程很有趣,煎餅很美味。

故事二 <Floppy floppy>

What did Floppy do in this story?

P13: What a lovely day ! the whole family are preparing a picnic in their backyard.Floppy is so excited,it jumps up and down and knocks over the glasses which Biff is holding.從故事的一開始可以知道這個(gè)家庭在準(zhǔn)備野餐,閱讀的時(shí)候建議讓孩子觀察每一頁(yè)的家庭成員在做什么,F(xiàn)loppy在做什么。

P14: Mum is having a ginger cookie, Floppy  wants to taste,but Chip waves his hand and says :"No, Floppy!"Do you notice a bald man with a dog peep at them through the fence?(鄰居家的老王出現(xiàn)了)

P16: It seems that Floppy is burying someting.I guess it is burying the bone. but why is dad so upset? Dad is having a sandwich, and he is splashed by the mud that Floppy dug.That's too bad.Behave youself(老實(shí)點(diǎn)),Floppy!

P18: But someting even worse is happened! A cat jumps down from the wall,Floppy is running after(追趕) the cat in the backyard.Floppy gives everyone a fright(嚇大家一跳).Floppy bumps into Biff, and Biff is shouting:"No,Floppy!"

P20: Floppy is falling fast asleep. Its masters say:"Floppy Floppy."(慵懶的Floppy)讓孩子觀察Floppy睡著后每個(gè)人臉上的表情:即使Floppy很調(diào)皮,大家并沒有生氣,因?yàn)槿胰硕紣跢loppy.

對(duì)于年齡小的孩子,第二遍閱讀的時(shí)候可以一起找每頁(yè)的毛毛蟲,一定會(huì)覺得很有趣。這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)小C很喜歡。
