英文精讀“成為一名考古學(xué)家Digging for the past”

我們的精讀課上，講到Reading Explorer F的一篇文章Digging for the past，是年輕的埃及女性考古學(xué)家Nora Shawki的自述，從她9歲時(shí)在視頻里看到Howard Carter發(fā)現(xiàn)法老墓葬那一刻開始，如何不斷克服困難，成為一名考古學(xué)家的經(jīng)歷。

細(xì)節(jié)最能打動(dòng)人，Howard Carter made a tiny hole in the doorway, using a chisel that his grandmother had given him for his 17th birthday. He was able to peer in by the light of a candle and see that many of gold treasures were still in place.（霍華德卡特用一把鑿子——他祖母送給他的17歲生日禮物，在墓門上打開一個(gè)小洞，借著微弱的燭光，他看到了很多黃金和珍寶）
